QUICK GUIDE
It takes a moment to set your baseline. You can change it whenever you need to.
On first launch, count the steps in one ascent of your staircase. Enter that number and your body weight, then choose pounds or kilograms. Select whether your usual session includes climbing only or climbing and descending.
Tap Start Workout, then tap Complete Ascent after each climb you want to count. StairSplit is a manual lap timer; it does not detect climbs automatically. Use Take a rest and End rest to keep rest time out of your splits. Use Undo lap to remove the last ascent.
When you finish, choose Save workout to add the session to History, or discard it. History shows recent ascent totals and saved workouts. Tap a workout for its splits and details; swipe a workout left to delete it.
YOUR ROUTINE, YOUR WAY
Open the Settings tab to update your default steps per ascent, body weight, weight unit, or workout type. New settings apply to future sessions. A workout keeps the settings that were saved when it began.
Before you start, enter a step count in Steps this workout. That override applies to this session only. Leave it blank to use your saved default.
Calorie values are estimates based on recorded steps, saved body weight, and an assumed stair riser height. They are not measurements. See the in-app details for more about how an estimate is calculated.
